Dried chilis, including their spicy little seeds, are chopped and crushed for your convenience. Crushed chillies are also used as a table condiment in many cultures to add heat.
Though originating in Central and South America, crushed chili has found its way into being a major component in many cuisines. India is one of the largest producers of chilies in the world. Indian Chili powders can rage from being mildly pungent to fiery hot depending on its classification.
